October is here! We’re looking forward to pulling out our cozy sweaters and sipping on warm beverages. Whether you’re looking for a family friendly event or a chance to give yourself some self-care, here are some Philadelphia area events to kick-off fall.


Chair Yoga

Chair yoga is a twist on traditional yoga, making it accessible for any age. This program is for adults and groups of 2 or more people, must call the librarian at 215-685-1758 before coming to class.

Tall Trees Nature Playdate

Schuylkill Center
October 11 | 4pm - 5pm

Come play, explore, and dream with your child immersed in the Tall Trees Playscape. The wonder of nature provides opportunities for imagination, freedom, and creativity.

Anatomy for Alignment & Empowerment: A stretching and self-massage workshop

Studio 34 Yoga
October 16 | 7pm - 9pm

In this workshop series attendees will learn basic functional anatomy and apply that knowledge to their own bodies through self-massage, assisted stretching, and yoga postures. Participants will leave with resources and instructions to incorporate this knowledge into their at-home practices.

Join WURD Radio for dynamic community conversations about the connections between race, income and the environment locally, regionally and nationally – with a primary focus on Philadelphia.

Twist Out Workshop
