On August 22, Cradles to Crayons will hold its Ready for Learning Backpack-A-Thon at Lincoln Financial Field, in Philadelphia. This high-energy event will bring together more than 500 corporate volunteers to pack 55,000 backpacks with school supplies for local children in need.

Backpack-A-Thon is the signature fundraising event for Cradles to Crayons’ Ready for Learning initiative, which ensures that children arrive at school on the first day prepared and excited to learn. Volunteers will fill backpacks assembly-line style with age-appropriate supplies. These backpacks will be distributed to children by the organization’s nonprofit social service partners within days of the event.

Cradles to Crayons emphasizes the importance of corporate engagement and team building through this event. Corporate sponsors are invited to join in and help meet the goal of 55,000 backpacks. Sponsorship opportunities with event participation are limited.
